2012 EMMY AWARDS
We’ve had the Oscars and the Golden Globes and last night Sunday 23rd September the Emmy’s took place and once again the red carpet does not disappoint, with mixture of designers and celebrities, from subtle to outrageous, it was another successful night in fashion.
My favourite was Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier wearing one of the favourite colours of the evening she stood out for me. The high neck and below the knee dip hem she looked extremely elegant, and the close toe red and gold shoes worked perfectly.
Because the dress was such a statement in itself and had such a pattern she didn’t need to add accessories as that would have over done it, so by just wearing stud earrings and a silver clutch she really made the outfit work.
When she first cut her hair short, I had my doubts, but tonight she looks flawless and was for me the best dressed of the night.
Second in my opinion was Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa’s 2013 collection, rocking a kind of sari-esque look, I would usually put blue and gold together but this dress is beautiful, and I think that putting her hair up was a fabulous idea as it really shows of the back of her dress and how much of a masterpiece it is, kind of reminds me of Lea Michelle in Marchesa at the 2012 Golden Globes however that dress was metallic silver. Not over doing it with the make-up, going for a more natural look and wearing subtle jewellery, I think the way Hayden worked this dress and accessorised it was perfection.
Sarah Hyland is a little star already, known for her role in Modern Family, but she should now add ‘fashion designer’ to her résumé after co-designing her beautifully elegant Marchesa dress. The cream colour really complimented her skin tone and the lace detail on the shoulders and sides really added something to the dress, she very rarely goes wrong on the red carpet, and this is another example of her getting it 100% right.
Emilia Clarke looked sweet in Chanel the white dress with purple embodiment was beautiful, I personally would have worn a peep toe shoe instead of a closed toe, but that is my only fault.

Olympics 2012 Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony for London 2012 was one of the best there's ever been, from Russell Brand and Only Fools and Horses, to the Who and Queen, including the Spice Girls and Take That, it was one massive party and I am so proud to be British.
Half way through there was a fashion show celebrating England's most successful fashion designers and models - causing a lot of controversy by having Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell walking the Union Flag run way, it was a show stopping moment.
KATE MOSS - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
NAOMI CAMPBELL - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
LILY COLE - ERDEM
LILY DONALDSON - VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
STELLA TENNANT - CHRISTOPHER KANE
KAREN ELMSON - BURBERRY
JOURDAN DUNN - JONATHAN SAUNDERS AND STEPHEN JONES
WITH DAVID GANDY - PAUL SMITH
It was part of the closing ceremony that had models, fashion designers, fashion lovers mouths drop. Each one of them looked absolutely gorgeous.
And just when you thought that was it, Victorias Secret Angel - Alessandra Ambrosio made a brief appearance when Rio presented their thankyou to London.
The fashion show didn't stop their, with Jessie J getting a Reggie Yates sister has her new stylist she looked incredible and even treated us by wearing heels which happens on very rare occasions.
Victoria Beckham (Posh), Mel B (Scary) and Emma Bunton (Baby) stole the show out of the Spice Girls for me, the anticipated performance bought every 90's child back to their childhood and it was well worth the wait!

Jeffrey Campbell Lita
My obsession with these shoes started around the 4th July 2011 with Jeffrey Campbell’s American Flag Lita shoe, but the time I went to buy them they were sold out, EVERYWHERE. So I bought a different pair of Jeffrey Campbell’s called ‘The Lana Shoe’ and they are the most comfortable shoes I own.
(Lita Platfrom Boot - American Flag $160 SOLD OUT)
Since then I have wanted many other Lita shoes, but the two I want the most now are the Red Glitter and the Spike Platforms, not the most practical day shoes, but amazing. I'd like to say I'd wear them all the time and maybe I would, or maybe I'd just stare at them because I'd be too scared to ruin them.
They are my ideal pairs of shoes and next month I will buy a pair. The Spike shoes are at such high demand they were out of stock everywhere and have just now been restocked.
(Lita Platform Boot - Red Glitter $162)
(Lita Platform Boot - Spike $188 RESTOCK)

The Bikini that Defies Gravity
After just bringing out her fake tan range ‘JWOWW Sunless Spray’, Jersey Shore’s Jenni Farley (aka JWOWW) is now set to bring out a bikini line which will be available for purchase in the beginning of February 2012. Only in America would someone bring out a bikini line during winter.
JWOWW is known from the reality TV show ‘Jersey Shore’ and for those who have heard about it or watched it, would know this is a good move for her. The whole cast has a well-known daily routine named ‘GTL’ (gym, tan, laundry), where Jenni is seen focusing on the tanning part in order to get the perfect tan and fit in at the Jersey Shore.
The gravity defying bikini line is made out of a special fabric and silicone so you can remove the straps for a perfect no strap marks tan.
If you want to take a dip in the Jersey Shore sea you’ll have to put the straps back on, as the silicone adhesive works better in the heat so if you get it wet without the straps, don’t, or else you could see it floating away.
However, the bikini can only be washed up to 20 times until the silicone adhesive starts to weaken.
The images of the line so far show some of the different bikinis that are going to be available; there is a block bright red swimsuit as well as a bright blue bikini. There’s also animal print if you’re feeling wild or a cute and an innocent one with hearts and lace.
“I wanted my line to be stylish and functional, so getting the perfect tan could be hassle free. Now you can be sexy and tan-line free at the same time” – Jenni Farley.

Spring Summer 2012
When it comes to summer, the same thoughts come into all us girls heads, out with the jumpers and jeans and in with the t-shirts and shorts. We put away our thermals and get out our bikinis, and quite frankly I cannot wait to be lying on the beach getting a tan in a bikini.
But it’s not all about the sun, beach and tans or the short shorts.
Summer is also a time where fashion can be bright and daring, where it’s acceptable to wear a floral jumpsuit and a big hat.
Fashion weeks have been and gone, and they were fabulous from designers like Gucci and Marchea to high street fashion brand Topshop, we have now all got an idea on what the hot trends for Spring Summer 2012 are going to be.
It’s all about the bright colours, the reds, the yellows and the neon’s, with a bright lipstick to add to the outfit. But if you think you’re a bit reserved for the bright colours, pastels are going to be in as well as shown in the Louis Vuitton fashion show.

Ankle socks, they sort of made an appearance last summer, but they’ll be around in force this summer, a cute ankle sock with a midi or mini dress and a cute tan wedge or block heel is the perfect day to night outfit for summer, whether you’re going shopping or sitting in a pub garden you’ll be doing so dressed in style for the summer.
(Chanel Autumn Winter 2011)
Now where would we be without our accessories. Feathers will be a big hit this summer whether it’s just a cute pair of feather earrings or a feather head piece or maybe even a feather skirt, they’ll be making an appearance and will give you a more casual look. But if you’re not ready for a featherhead piece and will be out in the sun, grab an over sized hat like seen on Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss.

2012 Golden Globes
On January 12th the award season began, starting with the Golden Globes. As always celebs were out in force to impress and shock with their beautiful or outrageous choices.
You had designers from Dior, Prada and Gucci to Jenny Packham and Zac Posen even dresses being chosen by children.
Best dressed of the night either goes to Charlize Theron who stunned in a baby pink Dior couture dress. The way she wore her hair to the side with a glitzy hair band worked perfectly and made the whole outfit even more elegant. Or Emma Stone who looked beautiful in Lanvin the deep purple and pink work beautifully together and the eagle belt is placed at the perfect part of her body, again like Charlize Theron she has her hair in a bun which leaves you to admire the dress.

Dress colours went from pinks to purples to blues to greens, but there were a few that stood out from those and they were the silver metallic’s, and two people rocked this look Nicole Richie in Julian Macdonald and Glee’s Lea Michelle in Marchea.
It was a shock seeing Lea Michelle in such a revealing ‘grown up’ dress when we are use to seeing her in cuter ones like the pink Oscar de la Renta dress she wore to last years Golden Globes, some didn’t like it, but you cant deny that the dress itself is a work of art.

It was a surprise to see Nicole Richie in such an amazing dress as we’re used to seeing her in a more boho fashion style, she loves her Aztec prints and her creams so it was a pleasant surprise when she turned up wearing this stunning Julian Macdonald dress.

Like most award shows you have the best dressed, the nice surprises and the worst dressed, and the winner of the Golden Globes worst dressed is Sarah Michelle Gellar in a blue and white tie-dyed dress by Monique Lhuillier. You let her off a little bit when she told E! News that she let her daughter pick it out for her, but there comes a time in your child’s life when you need to say ‘no’ and that was the time.

Award season brings out the best looking men in Hollywood. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Michael Fassbender, Ryan Kwanten and Bradley Cooper. Just to name and few, and they never fail to impress. Ryan Kwanted wore a velvet dinner jacket with a shawl collar which was perfection. George Clooney has been quoted saying he only owns one tuxedo and just changes the shirt each time he wears it and because it’s him, that’s fine, he may be 50 but he is the ultimate silver fox of Hollywood. Now Brad Pitt may be walking with a cane which gives him some swag and takes away from the fact he has grown his hair long again which isn’t his best look, but its Brad Pitt so no matter what his hairs like he’ll always be one of the best looking men in Hollywood.
